Violence is never okay!

– SUMMARY OF A NATIONAL SURVEY ON VIOLENCE AGAINST CHILDREN 2022.

The Children’s Welfare Foundation Sweden (Stiftelsen Allmänna Barnhuset) has conducted a survey on violence against children in Sweden on behalf of the government. In the study, 5,820 15-year-olds anonymously answered questions about their exposure to violence. Getting answers to the questions from so many students gives us a picture of how common it is to experience different forms of violence as a child – and what the consequences of that violence can be. The study is a follow-up to previous studies conducted in 2000, 2006, 2011 and 2016. Comparisons of the studies indicate that some forms of violence have increased, while others have decreased or remained static.
